Privacy Policy
Effective 12 August 2026
This policy explains what ProfitableHaul.com collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. In short: we collect a lot, we use it broadly to run and market the Service, and we share it with service providers, advertising partners and affiliates. Section 6 covers marketing calls and the Do Not Call Registry.
1. Who we are
ProfitableHaul.com ("we", "us") provides route, cost and profitability planning tools for commercial trucking. This policy covers our website, web app, mobile apps and APIs (the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information we collect
You give us:
•
account details — name, email, phone number, password, company and MC number;
•
truck and driver profile — axles, dimensions, weights, fuel economy, tank size, hourly rate, fixed cost per mile, fuel card discount;
•
trip data — origins, destinations, cargo weight, load pay, deadhead, departure times, and your hours-of-service clock as you enter it;
•
load board activity — searches you run and listings you view, rank or unlock;
•
billing details, handled by our payment processor (we do not store card numbers).
We collect automatically:
•
device, browser, operating system, language and IP address;
•
approximate or precise location, including where you grant location permission so we can rank loads near you;
•
usage and diagnostics — pages viewed, features used, searches run, errors, timing;
•
cookies, SDKs, pixels, device identifiers and similar tracking technologies.
We receive from others: load listings and broker information from third-party load boards; routing, mapping and fuel price data from our providers; payment and fraud signals from our processor; and marketing, demographic, firmographic and contact data from analytics and data partners, which we may combine with what we already hold about you.
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
•
provide, operate, secure, meter and improve the Service;
•
compute routes, schedules, fuel plans and profitability;
•
process payments, entitlements and subscriptions, and prevent fraud and abuse;
•
develop new products and features, and build, test and refine statistical and machine learning models;
•
produce aggregated and de-identified analytics, rate benchmarks and industry insights, which we may publish, license or sell;
•
market to you and to people like you — including personalising, targeting and measuring advertising across email, web, social platforms, postal mail and, where you have separately consented, phone and SMS;
•
comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. How we share it
•
Service providers — hosting, databases, routing and mapping, fuel pricing, payments, email and SMS delivery, analytics, error monitoring and customer support.
•
Load boards — where you search or book, we exchange the information needed to fulfil that request under their terms.
•
Affiliate and referral partners — truck parking, lodging, fuel cards, insurance, maintenance and similar services we link to or let you book (for example TruckParkingClub.com and Stay22), and the affiliate networks that administer those relationships. Following one of these links passes the partner the information a click normally carries — a referral or click identifier, the page you came from, your IP address and device or browser details — and anything you then choose to give them directly. From that point their privacy policy governs, not ours.
•
Your browser's speech service, if you use the voice feature — asking for a load out loud uses the speech recognition built into your browser, and several browsers, Chrome among them, send that audio to their own servers to transcribe it. That happens between you and your browser's maker under their privacy policy, not ours: we receive only the text it produces, and only for as long as it takes to read the load. We do not record, store or transmit audio at any point. If you would rather no audio left your device, use the typed form.
•
Lodging searches you did not click — to show you a hotel beside a rest stop, our server asks a lodging partner what is available there before you click anything, and whether or not you ever do. What we send is the coordinates of that stop, a search radius, and the two dates your plan has you parked. Because the request is made by our server rather than by your browser, the partner does not receive your IP address, your cookies, your device or browser details, your identity, your load, your rate or anything else about your route. We do this only for stops longer than six hours, and only a few times per route.
•
Advertising and marketing partners — including ad networks and social platforms, for audience building, matching, targeting and measurement. Depending on the configuration, this may involve disclosing identifiers such as a hashed email or device ID.
•
Affiliates and business partners — including providers of insurance, factoring, fuel cards, maintenance and equipment, where we think an offer is relevant to you.
•
Corporate transactions — in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information is among the assets transferred.
•
Legal — where required by law, subpoena or lawful request, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not sell the contents of your route queries as individually identifiable records to unrelated third parties. Aggregated and de-identified data is not subject to that limitation.
5. Cookies and tracking
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and deliver and measure advertising, including across other sites and apps. You can control cookies in your browser and limit ad tracking in your device settings. Some features will not work without essential cookies. We currently do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals; we do honour recognised opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law.
Affiliate and referral partners set their own cookies and identifiers when you follow a link to them, so that a booking or purchase can be attributed to us and a commission paid. These are read by that partner and its network rather than by us, they persist under that partner's rules, and clearing them or blocking third-party cookies may mean a purchase is not attributed — which costs us the commission and costs you nothing.
6. Marketing, calls, texts and the Do Not Call Registry
By creating an account you consent to receive marketing from us by email, postal mail, push notification and in-product messaging, alongside the transactional messages we must send to run your account. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and we honour opt-outs promptly.
Phone and SMS marketing is opt-in, and always separate from account signup. We ask for it through a distinct, clearly labelled checkbox that is never pre-ticked and is never required to create an account, run a route, or buy anything. Agreeing to our Terms does not by itself give us permission to call or text you for marketing.
If you do tick that box, you give prior express written consent for ProfitableHaul.com and the marketing partners named at that moment to contact you at the number you provide — including with automatic telephone dialing systems and prerecorded or artificial voices — and that consent permits those calls and texts even if your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry or a state do-not-call list. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
You can revoke that consent at any time by any reasonable means — reply STOP to a text, tell a caller to stop, or email us. We honour revocations promptly and across every channel, and we maintain an internal do-not-call list. Where we have an established business relationship with you, we may also contact you within the periods the Telemarketing Sales Rule allows.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of certain profiling. To exercise any of these, email us at the address in Section 11. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
California residents: our disclosures to advertising and marketing partners described in Section 4 may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA as amended. You have the right to opt out — email us with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". You also have rights to know, delete, correct, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and you may use an authorised agent.
Precise location is only collected with your device permission and can be withdrawn at any time in your device settings; the Service will then rank loads from an address you type instead.
8. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and afterwards as needed to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain consent and do-not-call records — which we retain for at least five years, because proving when and how consent was given is the entire point of keeping them. Aggregated and de-identified data may be kept indefinitely.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed credentials and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us.
10. Children, and changes to this policy
The Service is for commercial users and is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use after that date is acceptance.

ProfitableHaul.com is a trip planning aid. It is not an electronic logging device, not a system of record, and not a substitute for your ELD or your carrier's policy. Hours-of-service compliance remains the driver's responsibility. Fuel prices are regional averages and will differ from the pump. Load listings are supplied by third-party boards and are not verified by us.
